My Top 5 Halestrom's song

Lately I have been listining to Halestorm. Guys, this a one of the greatest band so far. It's been a while since I didn't heard some powerful music like their.

So for you, Guys and Girls too :D, I picked up 5 tracks that to my mind are the best of Halestorm. I just wish people knew bands like Halestorm because clearly people actually don't know about them.


I aslo wish people understood that we do need bands like this one because they are original. I always though that days by days, the music industry is getting corrumpted by money. Halestorm proves that we can find a balance while doing music for industry.  I hope you like them ;)

Hey everyone. You miss me, don't you ? Hmm, What can I say ? I miss you too. Well, Now I'm back with some brand new tracks for you guys. This playlist is called : 3 Songs about "If it's too loud, you're too old ". I've heard this expression many times before, and recently I was inspired and I decide to leave a trace about it. And without more ado, it might get loud ... very loud. I'm really in the mood tonight. I'm starting this playlist with the first song that came to my mind. I was listenning to music on Youtube and I just though about the fact that I'm on my loud/ hard music periode. See, when I have too much work to do, I find motivation with this type of Music. But this one is very special. It reminds about a lot of situation when I just want to scream : Respect ! Don't talk to me if you don't get the message. 

What is wrong with the world ?

Sometimes, I just want to  scream like this  I'm given uppppp ! I hate all the misunderstandings...all the conflicts... all the fights... It takes a hole life to support the living and only 3 minute to give up. What do you want to Do about it ? Of course, I'm not talking about a suicidal solution :) It's not an alternative. See, all this violence is a sort of therapy. Humanity is just nasty. Some choose to harm people and some choose to externalize negatif feelings this way... Linkin park remind me of my high school years. Sometimes, I like to listen to some tracks not for the reminescence because I'm still building memories with their songs ...

To speak or not to speak  is not the question... 

"Speak" is a song of the metal band Godsmack. It  had a six-week run at number one on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. So that means : it's very heavy...When Godsmack first came out, everyone thought that they would never go anywhere and they will crash and burn. But, they're went strong. Godsmack has a lot of amazing songs with some amazing lyrics and views. Speak is one of them. What is amazing with this song is that it can be about everything. It can talk about the lies of the governement, the boss, the parents, the boyfriends, the girlfriends...  I just wish someday I can use it to convey a message.

3 Songs about it's okay to be different !

These are 3 songs about being different. Each of them look at being an outsider in different terms, all of which I have experienced. I hope if you, my reader ever feels isolated you can look to any of these songs to find comfort someone else out there gets it too, whatever it may be.

Just Come As You Are ! 

I think that everyone is okay with it. Kurt Cobain was one of the main symbol of weird/outcast/strange/different people. After all this, I don't think that he's not normal. I mean, he's pretty ordinary. Just come as your are or walk out... 

Have You Ever Met Your Stranger ? 

Strange is a strange word with a strange meaning and love is when you let your lover see the stranger in yourself. Life is strange, full of weird moments and it feels awkward most of the time. Have you ever have that feeling that you are different from the others so much that you always feel like a stranger to everyone else and especially to your lover ? You don't have to be afraid. Meet the stranger in yourself and let the others see him everytime you see him.

Don't Hide Under The bridge ! 

This is song’s story has a very ironic twist. This was a song written initially as a poem about feeling like an outsider. It’s writer Anthony Kiedis was feeling extremely isolated now that he had conquered his heroin addiction. He no longer could hang out in the same places with the same running buddies. He was feeling very distant from his bandmates who were still involved in ongoing drug use.

I'm a funny girl in a night of fun that makes fun about people having fun...

Now that I'm back in my hometown, I think that was too much fun. See, I would rather laugh about it even if it's wasn't fun. Well, I don't give a Fun but I would certaintly get Fun and have good Fun. As a matter of fact, Fun is a funny word and so this song is. Axl Rose choose non-fun words to express about a funny situation. Some people are too much blind to see, too much deaf to hear and too much numb to feel fun. Really, Ain't it fun ?

I don't love Children but I make an exception for a Sweet Child of Mine...

When he was writing the lyrics of the song, Axl Rose, the lead singer, is talking about his first wife. At time, she was his girlfriend and this song was like a proof of his love. That's what I call Hardcore Romance. Love it. And by the way, I think that this is the best live of Guns N' Roses. It's terrific. The intro of the song was made specialy for this live. Talking about his love, he said that was "the bad time to be in love".... In fact, he and his wife divorced. And yes, that's very childish...But where Do we go Now ?  

I'm not dead yet but two days ago I swear that I have killed this song !  

The original song is from Bob Dylan. The song talks about a sherif who was shot so he sings this while he agonize. That's so sad but I can't help myself thinking about it so much differently. The emotion that it evoques in me are more something like strengh and wiseness. In fact, do you know that feeling when you no longer care about something ? That's exactly what i'm feeling while I'm hearing this song. Then, you just bury the guns and the hatchet because life is too short to care about slappy things. Two days ago, I was at the karaoke. I sing this song and it was like a huge coincidence or maybe a revelation. I'm not quite sure yet... Superstition ? Yeah, it's way too much has been for me....

Girls rock the Casbah Part 3

You know what they say that good things come in three, so here's the third part of this long journey. Girls can rock the  Casbah ! Hell yeah ! In this third part, all I want to say is it's the final drop. See this is was clearly a story, with a plot, characters and stuff like that. In the begining, I didn't know how long it was going to take. Like a trip, the most important for me was to find my final destination. See, I overcome all the obstacles in front of me. Althought I was shot in the back by ennemies and in the heart by my lover, it's no regret for me. This is a great musical experience. These are my last thought while I'm hanging in my hometown. There's no time to waste for starting over again and again...

You know the mojo : Girls don't only rock the Casbah nada mas because Girls rock the Casbah ....

With Gossips. Listen to me. Don't pay attention to stuff like that....

This is clearly one of the best performance of "Listen up". No this is not a gossip ! I like the enery of beth, the lead singer of the band. I don't know why they call the band "The gossip", just let me say that strangely that songs is the only who matches with the fact that people like to gossip and of course listen to gossips. I know what you would say to me : this is in the Human nature. Let me say than that's the biggest gossip all around the world. 

With violence. This will heat your mind out. 

The band ? Dead Sara ? Incredible. The song ? Lemon scent ? Excellent. I knew this band and this song for so long.  To my mind, It's not the best song of the band but I couldn't pass the opportunity of heating your minds out. No offense. See, there's more meanings than violence in this song. I mean the stage is a catch ring. If you listen carefully to the lyrics, you will figure out that she's talking about being in the musical field. That's why in the end of the video clip, Emily, the lead singer and Siouxsie, the guitarist are fighting with the public that bet on them. The musical industry is a drag. You have got to be strong and show some violence (talent) for winning the game. 

With honnesty. Too much honnesty... It's not you... Sorry for not being sorry

This song tells us that Lzzy, the lead singer is "in love with somebody". To create tension and humour, Lzzy then sings "but it's not you". Can we say that at least she speaks the truth ? Yeah... I don't think so.... I like Lzzy style, very delighful. It's the first time that I like this kind of music. I found it in the begiging a little bit industrial but what can I say ? When I need change, I change my muse as much as it's still ethical.  

Girls rock the Casbah Part 2

Girls and Rock'n'roll is a Real Love story. In the first part, I have played four songs that express this feeling. See, there's a lot of girls in rock band but not all them are that much interesting. I mean I have choosen the only ones that really mean something to me. There's a lot of "mean" in this sentence and a lot of means that this girls have picked for rocking your world out. In this second part, the songs are more recent but I doesn't mean more lam because these girls rock the Casbah ...

With Mystery. Sorry Guys, but Dum is not Dumb

I discovered The Dum Dum Girls this year when I was hunting Music in Youtube. Thanks to Youtube's and Google's algorythme, I'm glad that I have met this girls. This is a song from their album "Only in Dreams" ( I really don't know why I'm obsessed with dreams) that talks about this feeling that we sometimes have before sleeping. She said that she needs bedroom eyes, so it's very classy. We all know, the eyes are the doors of the soul ( maybe she's a eye fetishist) , but I'm not so sure about the bedroom part. There's a lot of mystery in the lyrics but also in the way she express herself. Take a look to the video clip ! It's very weird.

With love. Yeah, you've better be opening not your heart but your ears...

They say the meaning of this song is about her relationship with God. Yes, but Who knows ? 

With control. Freedom is all about respecting your rules.

The art of representation was never as much as contagious. This is Lissie, a great singer who loves rock'n'roll and of course expressing herself. I don't know a lot about her but I think that she's got a real potential for singing and for creating Music. All covers that I have heard from her in Youtube are great. It was difficult for me to choose the "best" song or should I say the song that you guys would love to hear from her. I finally made my mind. It's mother from Danzig. "Then I saw there was a way to Hell even from the gates of Heaven". This is a blast. Enjoy.

When it comes to music , I'm never really much of "OMG I love this artist". I only like the music the artist makes. I don't have a favourite artist back then,I have a favourite song from an artist. However, when it comes to Lana Del Rey, it's a different story. 

The first song that I heard of her was "Born to Die", but at time, I didn't pay any attention at it. After hearing a lot of her songs and of course read the lyrics, I fell in love with her songs because I understood her. Deep down, I understood the Music, I understood her story. It wasn't about the song, it was about sharing and dealing with the problems in her Music, in her lyrics and in heart. And I felt that because I was a character in her story. 

Her songs are all love songs. They talk about being in love with a broken relationship, being able to still love someone who hurts you, still loving someone you know is not coming back for you. Most of them are broken heart song, but still being able to smile and reminiscence about the (dead) memories. But don't be sad because most are love song about falling and being in love again. 

Lana Del Rey is a good storyteller. Wether you like it or not, you are going to feel what she felt while hearing her songs. That's the real power of a singer. Lana is not the best singer because perfection doesn't exist. She's quite original and fun and most of all, she knows what her fans like because she clearly knows about empathie. 

Boys go crazy ! Don't say I didn't warm you

I love jealous crazy boys. This song is clearly about a boy who is tripping around the city trying to forget about the man that still his girlfriend. What a sensation ! I'm not saying that it's a good situation but I got to say that girls actually love this. Why ? because we love to be protected as well as we love boys that know what they want and go fight for it.

What a monster of Energy. This song is alive and in the same time powerfull. I don't like people who can't stand up and react. Being nice, it doesn't mean not being yourself. In fact, Cochise ( The name of the song) was the most famous Apache leader to resist intrusions by whites during the 19th century. I called it crazy reaction while because it seems like chris cornell (like Cochise) is singing from the buttom of his heart for preventing people. In fact, the signer is saying basically : die if you will or save yourself. 

Boys become crazy when they don't get what they want too 

Speaking of the crazy ’90s, hysteria was once a term given to women of the Victorian age who suffered from sexual frustration because many men at the time had no concept of female pleasure. This song might be about that, or about female orgasm, or maybe Muse just liked the way it sounds, but these days hysteria is just an outdated way to call a broad “crazy.”

With Evanescence. Amy lee brings me to life 

Bring me to life is the first song that I have heard of Evanescence. It was on TV, I can also remember that it was on a Musical Channel. In that time, Musical channels wasn't corrupted by the greedy Musical Industry. When I first saw the videoclip, It was astonishing. Amy lee is so powerful and also so sensitive. This song is about girls expectations. Amy lee gives a lesson about not dreaming that a boy can mend our life. In the final scene, we can notice that Amy was actually dreaming about her savior. But her soul was dead right after this experience. For my case, I got to say that I just don't want to wake up from this type of dream. I'm fine. Let me live in my dreams and don't even try to save me because Amy Lee does.

The openning is simply grandiose

This is a song from Nightwish. It's called The poet and the pedulum. This song was inspired in a short story written by Edgar Allan Poe, called The Pit and Pendulum. This song takes me to a world that only exists in our dreams, it really takes me far, far away. Nightwish will always be one of the world's best bands in my opinion, even without their first lead singer Tarja. That's well proved. 

It's over Now. What have you done ?

Sometimes love is tragic. My second choice is a song called "What have you done" from Within Temptation.  I'm not fond of break up songs, but this one is just amazing. It's in the same very lyrical and very rough. Everytime I listen to this song I get shivers down my spine. In this live, I just love the way how the singers don't overplay their role on stage. It's okay, but I certaintly would rather to see a real battle between them. 

Just Keep calm and listen to Classic Music...

Music is like violence when it breaks the silence

When Music is not a painkiller...

Well well well... Who said that Music is always a healing ? Truth is sometimes it really is but sometimes, it's definiltly not. Hmm... I can see that it's still doesn't make any sense for you. Let me explain this with a very significatif and non abstract example. Sometimes, when we are sad and lonely, music that we like can "cheer up" our mind. But sometimes, it turns to be on the contrary because it depends on what kind of Music it is. 

To me, listining to a Music is like listening to a person. It means that you will follow unconsciensly the rythm and the lyrics expressed by a Music that you are listening to. Mostly, Music can disctract and manipulate people's emotion.... so it's very dangerous !  But let's go back to more important stuff.

Sure, Music is always expressing something : wether it's emotions or ideas. I believe that Music was created for the purpose of expressing ourselves. In fact, Music is a way of communication, way too much different from the others because it's like a violence that breaks the Silence. Words can be also violent but Music is violence for your ears, for your heart and for your soul, wether it was Classic, Rock or Heavy Metal Music.

Since it has got a big impact on Humans, when communication between two people breakdown, it became the only way for conveying the words that wasn't spoken. So Can we call it a "Sweet violence" ? Yeah....Nevermind. Look around you, everything is Made of violence...  but sure it's not a good reason for not enjoying or liking a Music. But what could I say to convince you? Maybe enjoying the silence is not a bad idea after all .

Today, it's the full Moon. Tonight, I Will be dancing with the stars in the darkest skies. They say : Stars Can't Shine Without Darkness. For my case, I guess that it's gonna be the same wether I fly or I cry. There's no dark side of the Moon. Tonight they will be only the cool side of the Moon. Tonight, they will be no drama, no problems because on the top on the Moon my thoughts are so clear and I feel so real. That's what keeps me alive.

4 Reggae Rock songs that express positive messages to yourself

The truth is We are Spirits in a Material World 

Okay, I admit it : It's not Reggae. It's a Ska rythm but it's still got a Reggae influence. But Forget about everything and enjoy the sound of your spirit that is hanging around your soul. I got to say that The Police is a very spirituel band and I just love how their spirit sound thought their songs.  Their album Reggatta De Blanc, in English "White Reggae" held the greatest Reggae Rock songs. Even, the Bed is too big without you ( a song from Reggatta De Blanc) shows that the band is really non-materialist.

Soldiers of Jah Army (SOJA)  fight the injustice in The Babylong World and defend the Peace in the Time of War. It's not easy to define the music of SOJA. Although it's  rooted in reggae, they do not stop there, and the plurality of their fans reflects this musical diversity. Their music inspires and encompasses all walks of life, without prejudice, it's for everyone and about everything.

But Never forget to don't give up the Fight ! 

Get up Stand Up. I think that Everybody konw the lyrics. Yes, It's totally the most known of Bob Marley's songs. And yes, it was the first that I heard from his. Sure, there are plenty of songs of Bob Marley that express messages. For instance, "No Women no cry , Bad Boys, Redemption song...", the list is very long. Mostly talk about love and freedom. It's not that I don't share his point of view but It will be better with some changes in lyrics. I would Totally like to hear "No Man No cry or something like "Is this Hate" for raising awareness about the Hatred in our world.

Lately, I was really suprise to see that actually Lana Del Rey is in the 19th place in the musical artist category on Google Trends. So I decided to write a little something that had nothing to do with her last album that everybody talks about. 

I thought that It was a good idea to look about her best songs. But as you know, Lana isn't what we can call a typical singer. She's hot and very sensitive and also very feminine, but she can be also very depressing. Yes a lot. It seems like every song of her is deadly sad, as she describes of course her self. 

But do you know what ?  I bet that Lana Del Rey is the most happy singer of Hollywood right know. She can't and won't drop this image that she vehicles through her music because it's a part of what she had been through.  Lana Del Rey is happy and this 3 happy songs will prove it. Enjoy.

After the Weerwolf, Vampire and Zombie area, here's come the Serial Killers area. Of course, Serial Killers have always existed and they are more realistic than those mythic creature. But, let's face it : it's a fact, it seems like they are on the trending topics because we are really surrended by monsters that kill people. 

Serial killers don't fascinate me, I find them abhorrent and repugnant. They are really the worst and the most despicable, and vile in the human species. In the same time, they interest me because I always wanted to understand the reasons for their actions. I always wondered why men do evil.  

I am also interested in another area in crimes committed during the Second World War, including the Nazis or more recently, the genocide of the palestinan people in Gaza by the israeli governement. These people often believed that they are entrusted with a task that justified all their crimes. Serial killers are totally fearless and they just don't FEEL anything. They can't keep themselves from wars and fights because they are sick. 

Unlike what we see in movies or read in books, they are not lame or extremely intelligent, cultured and refined, as Hannibal Lecter, the character of "Silence of the Lambs". Serial killers kill only for their own pleasure and for a few seconds of fun. It's their way of seeing the extremely selfish and inhumane world where we live. Most of them have psychological issues : they have suffered in their childhood  but they don't  know how to grow up and overcome these bad memories. 

When they "grow up", they feel the need to chase feelings and emotions. To achieve their goal, they always act cold and very logical and of course they will lie for manipulating people. In the modern world, there is another version of Serial Killers. They kill their victims in a very softly way. Serial Killer will kill every emotion inside of them so that they will remain with no personality. And Guess what ?You know what they say : love is a perfect crime...
